Masks are mandatory to enter our facility. A mask must be worn while entering, exiting, and using the washroom (all common areas of the building). Masks will be removed and set with water bottle once inside the gymnastics space.
Hands are sanitized immediately at the front doors. Shoes and socks are removed at the mats and barefeet will be sanitized at the gymnastics space doors. If your gymnast leaves the gymnastics space to use the washroom, their feet will be sprayed again before coming back to the gymnastics space.
If your gymnast coughs, sneezes, or has their hands in their mouth they will be asked to sanitize again by their coach.
Our viewing area is closed.
We will have all athletes dropped off and picked up at their class time at our main doors.
This building is home to the Pictou County gymnastics club and to the Morrell Dance Academy. We will not be having spectators within our building until all restrictions have been lifted. This is to ensure we are reducing traffic within the building and keeping both programs as safe as we can during these times.
We are asking that all atheltes keep their distance from one another as much as possible while here for classes. This rule applys to our main enterance as well. Please have your athlete wait inside their vehicle or line up socially distanced to the right of the doors before their class.
Our class sizes have decreased significantly. This will allow the athletes to socially distance while within the gymnastics space. Groups will stay together and rotate with their coach during practices.
Equipment is set up before gymnasts arrive for classes. Equipment is wiped between classes and the entire gymnastics space is "fogged" or sprayed down with sanitizer at the beginning and ending of each day. Smaller equipment is wiped clean and put away after use.
Competitive and pre-competitive gymnasts are asked to bring a yoga mat to keep in the gym for classes.
Here you can find PDF files of the Assumption of Risk and the Declaration of Compliance. Both of these documents must be read, signed, and returned to PCGC before attending classes.
