Fun for toddlers and their parents / guardians
In KinderGym our main goal is fun! Toddlers and their adults explore the gymnastics equipment, play active games and use gym props to spend active time together. Our coaches incorporate fun games and offer assistance for safe use of some equipment
Our gym is large and can be intimidating to children entering the preschool group. KinderGym will get your toddler comfortable in our space so they are ready to learn and play while you watch from the viewing room once they are old enough for preschool classes
We will have coaches on the floor to play with your child but there must be an adult present on the gym floor for every child in the class.
Active fun for preschoolers; fun, games and a beginning in gymnastics
In Preschool we love to have fun! We play active games for warm up and cool down using the whole gym and gym props (balls, skipping ropes, stuffies, etc.).
Then preschoolers are introduced to some of the gymnastics rotations and how rec classes are scheduled. This helps with future understanding on how they can expect classes to work in the older levels. They are taught gymnastics basics for a safe start
During class parents and guardians are asked to watch their gymnast from the upstairs viewing area. We understand this can be difficult for some children to be separated from their adult but they will typically join in once they see the rest of the class having fun. If your child is having difficulty feeling comfortable leaving you to enter the class, one of our coaches will stay with them inside the gym until they feel comfortable to join the group.
Each class is broken up into groups based on age and skill level
Our certified coaches will work within your child's comfort zone and help them reach their personal goals.
Children are taken through the equipment in rotations so that during the hour they get to experience the majority of the gym. They are taught the safe and proper way to do movements and use the equipment to avoid injury as well as fun active games during warm up and cool down
Parents are asked to watch their gymnast from the upstairs viewing area to avoid distraction during class, which could be dangerous. We understand it can be difficult for some children to leave their adult and enter a busy, large gym but we have seen children typically join in quickly once they see others having fun.

To end the year on a high note, the rec classes are invited to compete in our Fun Meet. Gymnasts at our Fun Meet are only scored against themselves to show how far they have come!

We split age groups into 3 separate classes, 5-8 yrs, 9-11 yrs & 12 yrs+
To ensure all athletes have coaching time, spaces are limited
Coaches train each individual at their own level. The only expectations are to try your best.
As with the majority of our classes, we ask guardians to observe their athlete from the upstairs viewing area for saftey reasons.
